Kingston City Hall Foyer Upgrade
Works to the Kingston Foyer are one of numerous additions to the Arts Precinct since Nests first involvement in 2011.
The brief for the foyer was to bring back to life the hub that Kingston once was, as the Foyer is the face of many functions in the precinct. The concierge was to be the main focal point on entry to the foyer, and an opening to the west face of the foyer would be the much needed link between the Kingston Arts and the Kingston Foyer – finally allowing the two building s to speak to one another through pedestrian engagement.
The foyer functions as a gathering space, a performance area with a platform stage, as well as a cafe. The foyer now also has a space to display the many talented works of their resident artists with the arts display unit forming part of the in-built joinery in the space.
